Adoption Process
Applicants complete an online adoption application, then get matched with suitable horses/donkeys/mules, schedule an appointment to visit and meet eligible equines with trainers, pass a facility inspection, and sign an adoption agreement before taking the equine home.

Walkin' N Circles Rescue Ranch, also known as New Mexico Horse Rescue, is located in Edgewood, New Mexico, in Santa Fe County, about 25 miles west of Albuquerque, and shares the county with 14 other animal shelters and rescues. Since 2002 the ranch has been connecting the lives of horses and people, working to rehabilitate, retrain, and rehome equines in its care while caring for 50+ horses year-round. Adoption is centered on finding each horse its "happily ever after," and the ranch relies heavily on volunteers, donations, and community fundraising events to sustain its mission. Tours of the ranch are available by appointment only.
