Adoption Process
To begin the adoption process, please complete an adoption questionnaire available at www.fatherjohns.org/adopt. After reviewing your questionnaire, we will either contact you to discuss your application and schedule an appointment, or you may visit us as a walk-in, depending on staff availability. Adoption fees are listed on the questionnaire page and range from $50 for a senior cat to $400 for a puppy.
Service Areas
Our main area of service is Sussex County, but we also assist surrounding regions and certain areas in Mississippi and Virginia, where we rescue dogs from high-kill shelters.

Our main objective is to provide homes for animals that are currently homeless. While they are under our care, they will receive love, companionship, shelter, food, socialization, and medical attention until they can be placed in permanent, loving homes.
