Only Maine Coons Rescue is a rescue organization based in Absecon, New Jersey, in Atlantic County, roughly 50 miles northwest of Philadelphia, PA, and one of five animal shelters or rescues serving that county. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run entirely by volunteers, dedicated exclusively to the Maine Coon cat breed, rescuing Maine Coon cats and kittens—purebred and mixed—from shelters and unwanted situations. Rescued cats are placed in foster homes until they are adopted into permanent "furrever" homes, and 100% of donations go directly toward vetting, spay/neuter costs, shelter pull fees, food, and litter for the cats in its care.
