Central California Labrador Retriever Rescue (CCLRR) is a rescue organization based in Stockton, California, located in San Joaquin County, which is also home to 8 other animal shelters and rescues, about 40 miles north of Sacramento. Founded in July 1998, CCLRR was created to find loving homes for abused, abandoned, or unwanted Labrador Retrievers throughout the Central Valley. It operates entirely with volunteers and has no central facility or shelter, instead placing dogs in foster homes with current foster families until adoption. The rescue places dogs in homes ranging from as far north as Redding to as far south as Fresno, and from the San Francisco Bay Area down to Monterey County.
