Pet Rescue Network is a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer rescue organization based in High Ridge, Missouri, licensed in the state of Missouri and located in Jefferson County, roughly 20 miles northeast of St. Louis, alongside five other animal shelters and rescues in the county. Its volunteers, many with 10 to 15 years of animal rescue experience, focus on meeting the medical and psychological needs of dogs and cats who have suffered abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Animals are cared for in foster homes rather than a shelter facility, where they are socialized and assessed for behavior and special needs before being listed for adoption, and every rescued pet receives veterinary care. The organization also promotes spay/neuter services, community education, and ongoing socialization and training to help ensure safe, permanent adoptive homes.
