Help Save Pets

Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with the submission of an application. The application includes questions designed to assess whether the pet would be a suitable match for the applicant's home. We will contact the applicant's veterinarian to confirm a history of responsible pet care. Subsequently, we arrange a meeting at either Petsmart or the applicant's home to facilitate interaction between the applicant and the pet they wish to adopt. If the meeting is successful, we proceed to finalize the adoption. An adoption contract is required, which stipulates the necessity for regular veterinary care, that the pet must live indoors, and that the pet must be returned to us if the adoption does not work out. The adoption fee for dogs is $175, while the fee for cats varies from $80 for older cats to $125 for kittens.

Service Areas

Our primary focus is on Lincoln County, where there are no animal control services or shelters available. Additionally, we collaborate with the animal control agencies in the City of Troy and Moscow Mills. We also accept animals from St. Charles County, including owner surrenders and various animal control facilities.
