About this shelter

Paws & Claws Humane Society in Rochester, MN

Paws & Claws Humane Society is located in Rochester, Minnesota, in Olmsted County, roughly a mile south of the city, with three other animal shelters or rescues also based in the county. The shelter cares for adoptable cats and dogs, maintains listings for lost and found pets, and asks prospective adopters to fill out an online adoption form for review before being contacted. It relies heavily on community support, accepting donations through PayPal and Venmo, and stays connected with supporters through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. Pet viewing hours are offered several days a week, including evening hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays, to make it easier for the public to visit and meet the animals in its care.

Adoption process

Prospective adopters must meet the animal in person (applications are not accepted by phone/email), then fill out an online adoption form or in-person questionnaire about their living situation and pet history; Paws and Claws reviews it and contacts the applicant, and all adopted animals must be spayed/neutered if not already done.
