Friends of Attleboro Animal Shelter (FAAS) is an all-volunteer animal shelter serving cats and dogs in Attleboro, Massachusetts, located in Bristol County, about 6 miles southwest of Pawtucket, RI. FAAS is dedicated to nurturing the animal-human bond and fostering a community guided by compassion, achieving its mission through adoptions, community awareness, and fostering and caring for companion animals until loving homes are found. Its vision includes reducing the number of unwanted animals through community spay and neuter programs, low-cost vaccination programs, and micro-chip events, while promoting responsible pet ownership. Each year, hundreds of abandoned cats and dogs are placed in loving homes through FAAS adoptions, and the organization operates alongside 18 other animal shelters and rescues in Bristol County, MA.
