Bendl Adopt-a-Pet is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter in Benld, Illinois, located in Macoupin County, which is also home to one other animal shelter or rescue. Situated about 40 miles southwest of St. Louis, MO, the shelter has been rescuing and finding homes for cats and dogs since 1983 at its facility on Stewart Avenue. It's open Wednesday through Monday from 1–5 p.m. by appointment, offers adoptable dogs and cats both on-site and through partner Petco Cat Condos in Springfield, and relies on volunteers, memberships, and community sponsors to support its work.
