About this shelter

Angels On Wheels Animal Rescue in Naperville, IL

Angels On Wheels Animal Rescue is a foster-based dog and cat rescue organization located in Naperville, Illinois, in Will County, where 23 other animal shelters and rescues also operate; the group sits roughly 4 miles northeast of Naperville. Rather than housing animals in a physical shelter, Angels On Wheels relies on a network of volunteer foster homes throughout the Chicagoland area, primarily in the southwest suburbs, to care for rescued dogs and cats until they find permanent homes. The organization does not euthanize for space and gives animals as much time as they need to be adopted, requiring an adoption application before prospective adopters can meet an animal in its foster home. Founded by Susan Pratl, Angels On Wheels is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and an Illinois state-licensed dog and cat rescue that has saved hundreds of animals from euthanasia.
