PAWS - Providing Animal Welfare Services operates an open-admission animal shelter in Driggs, Idaho, about 50 miles west of Idaho Falls, ID, and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. For over 25 years PAWS has addressed animal welfare "at both ends of the leash," pairing shelter care for dogs and cats with social services for pet owners, including financial assistance, low-cost spay/neuter, and crisis intervention for pets of domestic violence victims or those needing emergency evacuation. All animals are spayed/neutered and fully vaccinated before adoption, and the organization assists more than 1,000 local pets each year, funded entirely by donations.
