Border Animal Rescue is a rescue organization based in Sierra Vista, Arizona, about 60 miles northwest of Tucson. Its mission centers on reducing animal overpopulation through community-based low-cost spay and neuter programs, running a trap/neuter/return (TNR) program for free-roaming cats, and advocating for the adoption of unwanted and homeless pets throughout Cochise County. The rescue relies on a network of volunteer foster homes to care for animals until they're adopted, ensures every pet is vaccinated, tested, spayed or neutered, and microchipped, and operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit staffed entirely by volunteers, with donations going directly toward feeding, medical care, and animal welfare. The organization is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
