Wet Nose Rescue is a 100% foster-based, all-breed dog rescue serving Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the surrounding area, located approximately 15 miles southwest of the city. The rescue pulls dogs and puppies from overcrowded shelters throughout Pennsylvania, including Bucks, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties, and places them into loving homes. It operates an adoption center that is open by appointment only and runs a special program called the Grey Nose Society dedicated to senior dogs. As a rescue organization rather than a traditional shelter, Wet Nose Rescue relies on volunteer foster families to care for its dogs until they find permanent homes.

Adopting from Wet Nose Rescue

Adoption process

Applicants fill out an online application, which is reviewed with reference checks (veterinary reference if they have a pet, or personal/work references if not); once approved, they meet the dog at the adoption center and receive medical records upon adoption. Spaying/neutering is required by state law, with a refundable $50 deposit collected at adoption.
