About this shelter
Spca-Allegany County in Belmont, NY
SPCA-Allegany County is a humane society located in Belmont, New York, roughly 60 miles northwest of Buffalo, and it's open every day, Monday through Sunday, from 12:00 to 4:00 PM. Its mission is to attend to the needs of abandoned, neglected, and abused companion animals throughout Allegany County, caring for animals until they can be adopted into forever homes. As a 501(c)3 charitable organization, it relies on donations to fund shelter care and operates a low-cost Snip and Spay clinic, which has spayed or neutered over 9,000 animals and also offers seasonal trap-neuter-release services for community and feral cats. Anyone hoping to adopt must submit and have an adoption application approved before bringing home a dog, cat, or other pet from the shelter.
