Operating since 1985, it is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit that rescues and shelters dogs and cats coming from situations of abuse, neglect, and abandonment, relying on donors, local businesses, and the community to sustain its work. The shelter is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00–4:00 PM, and its Lobby Boutique, offering donation-based pet clothing and accessories, is open to the public during those same hours. All proceeds and contributions directly support the animals in its care.
