Parrot Hope Rescue is a nonprofit rescue organization based in Mantua, Ohio, about 20 miles southwest of Akron. It is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of parrots, a segment of animal welfare often overlooked, working to help birds surrendered for personal reasons or left unwanted, neglected, abused, and abandoned by improper homes. In 2024 alone, the rescue accepted the surrender of over 400 parrots and permanently placed more than 230 into adoptive homes. Parrot Hope Rescue provides bird-safe toys, perches, play stands, cages, and high-quality food, and offers ongoing education and support to adopters and existing parrot owners alike.
