Columbus Humane is a humane society located in Hilliard, Ohio, about 7 miles southeast of Columbus. Advancing animal welfare since 1883, it cares for more than 8,000 animals annually across 49 species, with an average of 250 animals in its care each day. As the law enforcement agency responsible for investigating animal cruelty in Franklin County, it serves as both an adoption and medical resource and the community's cruelty investigation entity. The shelter offers programs including foster care, a pet food pantry, low-cost veterinary care, and a Safe Haven program for the pets of domestic violence victims, and its adoption center is open Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 to 6:00 PM.
