About this shelter
Coshocton County Animal Shelter & HATA in Coshocton, OH
Coshocton County Animal Shelter & HATA is located in Coshocton, Ohio, about 60 miles north of Akron, and is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. It is a private, 501c3 non-profit organization that has contracted with the county for decades to operate as one of the last remaining open admission shelters in Ohio, taking in over 1,000 stray and owner-surrender animals each year and never turning animals away. Adoptable animals are posted on the shelter's Facebook page, and all animals are vetted, spayed, and neutered prior to adoption. The shelter relies on donations for roughly 80% of its budget and also offers low-cost spay and neuter services to the community.
