SPCA Cincinnati is a humane society located in Cincinnati, Ohio, approximately 15 miles southwest of the city. It operates as Hamilton County SPCA (doing business as SPCA Cincinnati), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving Cincinnati, Hamilton County, and the surrounding Tri-state area. The organization is dedicated to building a humane community for all animals, bringing pets and people together, and supporting a $3.5 million expansion effort that includes a new medical center, expanded foster capacity, and an adoption center in Over-the-Rhine. It is open daily from Tuesday through Sunday, 12:00 to 6:00 PM.

Adopting from SPCA Cincinnati

Adoption process

Visit the shelter in person (adoptions cannot be finalized by phone or online) with valid ID and payment, meet the animal during a 10-15 minute visit, sign an adoption contract, and be prepared to take the animal home the same day; adopters must be at least 18, and any resident dogs must meet the new dog first.
