Reasons Rescue Ranch is a rescue organization located in Sparta, Missouri, about 15 miles northwest of Springfield, MO. Founded by Rita Reasons, who spent years rescuing horses on her 60-acre Missouri ranch with the help of family and friends, the organization was officially granted 501(c)(3) nonprofit status on September 7, 2017. It exists primarily to rescue and rehabilitate abused, neglected, and unwanted equines—including horses, mules, ponies, and donkeys—providing them a loving home for the remainder of their days, while also assisting cats, dogs, and other animals in distress. The Ranch is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and offers horse riding lessons, with proceeds going toward feeding and caring for the animals.
