It operates as an overnight warming shelter for homeless men in St. Clair County, providing "real help and real hope" to neighbors in need. For over 10 years the Mission served the community before closing its doors in early 2022 due to the COVID pandemic and nationwide staffing shortages, then reopened on Christmas Eve 2023 after a community-wide renovation effort. Guests are welcomed into a safe, warm place to rest and rebuild, supported by volunteers who provide meals, overnight supervision, and hospitality to those staying at the shelter.
