Nana & Papa's Nest Inc. Parrot Rescue is a rescue organization located in Wakefield, Virginia, about 30 miles east of Newport News, VA. Since 2016, the organization has dedicated itself to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming parrots who have been surrendered, neglected, or injured, having rescued more than 100 parrots to date. Its mission is to provide these birds with loving care, a peaceful refuge, and the chance to thrive in dignity, and it operates as a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit offering surrender/transfer, adoption, and outreach services. The shelter is open daily from 12:30 – 2:30 PM for visits, adoption inquiries, and volunteering.
