City of Manassas Animal Adoption Center in Manassas, VA
The City of Manassas Animal Adoption Center is located at 10039 Dean Drive in Manassas, Virginia, about 25 miles east of Alexandria, VA. It opened its doors on March 7, 2005, and has since provided shelter for thousands of animals that are lost, abandoned, released, or injured, also serving as a safe haven for strays picked up by Animal Control or citizens until their owners can reclaim them. The center strives to provide safe and loving homes for all animals and helps educate new owners about the responsibilities of pet ownership; dogs and cats adopted from the center are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and tested for common diseases, while the center also takes in small companion animals such as ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, and birds. It is open Monday 10:00 AM–1:00 PM and 4:00–6:00 PM, Tuesday 10:00 AM–1:00 PM and 4:00–6:00 PM, Wednesday 5:00–7:00 PM, Thursday 10:00 AM–1:00 PM and 4:00–6:00 PM, Friday 10:00 AM–1:00 PM and 4:00–6:00 PM, and Saturday 10:00 AM–1:00 PM.
