About this shelter
Farmaste Animal Sanctuary in Lindstrom, MN
Farmaste Animal Sanctuary is an animal shelter located in Lindstrom, Minnesota, about 35 miles southwest of Brooklyn Park, MN, and is open Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. It rescues abused, neglected, and unwanted farm animals—including cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, donkeys, and chickens—and gives them a home on its 30-acre farm, where they can roam freely and live out their days away from cruelty. Farmaste is a federally registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit funded entirely through donations, and it is the only farm sanctuary in Minnesota verified by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries. The sanctuary also offers scheduled tours and volunteer opportunities so people can connect directly with the animals and learn their stories.
