Carlton County Animal Rescue in Cloquet, MN
Carlton County Animal Rescue is a rescue organization based in Cloquet, Minnesota, about 15 miles east of Duluth. It became a 501(c)3 nonprofit in 2022, with a mission to help pets in Carlton County reunite with their companions, find caring forever homes, and live healthier lives through adoption, education, and community resources. Because it does not yet have a shelter building, animals in its care are looked after through a foster program, while the organization also offers microchipping events and other educational opportunities. CCAR has purchased a 7.35-acre parcel of land on the north end of Cloquet as the future site of a local animal shelter.
