About this shelter
Equamore Sanctuary in Ashland, OR
Equamore Sanctuary is located in Ashland, Oregon, about 130 miles north of Eugene, and is open daily from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Operated by the Equamore Foundation, it provides rescue and sanctuary for neglected, abused, and abandoned horses and donkeys who have no other alternative for their care, including unwanted, abandoned, and aged equines. Beyond direct care, the sanctuary works to foster compassion and responsibility for horses through education, outreach, and intervention, and it also runs an Oregon Hay Bank and a horse abuse reporting program. Visitors can learn the individual stories of resident horses and donkeys living out their lives in the sanctuary's herds and fields.
