About this shelter

Lovable Paws Rescue and Sanctuary in Ridgeland, SC

Lovable Paws Rescue and Sanctuary is a rescue organization located at 2144 Grays Highway in Ridgeland, South Carolina, roughly 30 miles south of Savannah, GA. It's open Friday and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM (weather permitting), with visits by appointment on other days. The rescue operates as a farm-based sanctuary for dogs, ensuring every animal is spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots before adoption, and it matches dogs with adopters based on best fit rather than a first-come, first-served basis. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, its mission is not just to find homes for its rescue dogs but the right homes where they can live out their lives.

Adopting from Lovable Paws Rescue and Sanctuary

Adoption process

Dogs are introduced on social media, then about 10 days later info is posted with an adoption application specific to that dog. All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots; applicants are chosen based on best fit (not first-come, first-served), and everyone in the household must be part of the process.
