About this shelter

ACTion Programs for Animals Adoption Center in Las Cruces, NM

ACTion Programs for Animals Adoption Center is an animal shelter located in Las Cruces, New Mexico, open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Since May 2012, the organization has rescued more than 6,800 companion animals, most of them dogs and cats pulled from the local municipal shelter, with its mission to rescue at-risk companion animals in Doña Ana County and support people and their pets in living healthy, happy lives together. Beyond adoptions, the organization runs a local pet food bank, the P.A.W.S. prison dog training program, and the Second Chance Thrift Store, relying on staff, foster families, volunteers, and donors to carry out its work.
