NAWS a No-Kill Humane Society is a 501c3 organization located in Mokena, Illinois, about 20 miles northwest of Naperville. Its mission is to end pet homelessness, suffering, and unnecessary pet euthanasia by serving pets in need and promoting the treatment of all animals with respect and dignity, with a strong focus on spaying and neutering cats and dogs. NAWS rescues animals, adopts them out, and provides low-cost medical care through its animal clinic, while also offering fostering, volunteer opportunities, and a resale shop to support its work. The shelter is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and appointments are recommended to view adoptable pets.
