Its mission is to end pet homelessness, suffering, and unnecessary pet euthanasia by serving pets in need and promoting the treatment of all animals with respect and dignity, with a strong focus on spaying and neutering cats and dogs. NAWS rescues animals, adopts them out, and provides low-cost medical care through its animal clinic, while also offering fostering, volunteer opportunities, and a resale shop to support its work. The shelter is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and appointments are recommended to view adoptable pets.
