E.A.R.S. Effingham Animal Rescue Sanctuary is a rescue organization located in Effingham, Illinois, about 70 miles northwest of Springfield, IL. It is a foster-based sanctuary completely run by volunteers, with all of its animals placed in foster homes cared for by foster families until they are adopted into permanent homes. In addition to adoptions, EARS offers a rehoming service to help pet owners place their animals in new homes and provides affordable spay and neuter options for the community. The organization relies on community support, volunteers, foster homes, and donors, and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
