Edmond Animal Shelter is located in Edmond, Oklahoma, about four miles southwest of the city, and operates as part of the Edmond Police Department's Special Services Division. The Animal Services Unit manages the shelter, provides humane care for animals in its custody, responds to community calls involving wild and domestic animals, and enforces municipal and state animal welfare laws, all while working to reunite lost pets with their families and find new homes for adoptable dogs and cats. The shelter offers fostering and volunteering programs as well as low-cost spay/neuter services, and owner-surrendered pets are accepted by appointment only. It's open Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 12:00 to 4:00 PM.
