The Town of Huntington Cat Shelter, managed by Little Shelter Animal Rescue & Adoption Center, is a municipal no-kill cat rescue serving the homeless pets and pet owners of Huntington Township in Huntington, New York, located about 15 miles north of Norwalk, CT. The shelter is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with visitors asked to call ahead to schedule an appointment to meet the cats. In addition to adoptions, the shelter runs a free spay and neuter program for feral cats belonging to Town of Huntington residents, aimed at controlling colony size and overpopulation, with cats returned to the outdoors afterward. In 2025 alone, 98 cats found homes through the shelter's adoption program.
