It is supported by Friends of the PAC, a nonprofit group that helps St. Charles County residents afford veterinary services for their pets and assists shelter animals with special medical conditions. The organization relies on a network of board members and volunteers who foster dogs and cats, including abandoned kittens and mother cats with litters, until they are ready for adoption. The shelter is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (6:30 PM on Wednesdays) and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
