Yorkie Friends Rescue Corporation is a Moulton, Alabama rescue organization located in Lawrence County, about 45 miles northeast of Huntsville. Founded on March 30, 2005, the all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) organization has placed 455 dogs into forever homes over the years, focusing on Yorkshire Terriers and Yorkie mixes. Its mission is to rescue Yorkies and Yorkie mixes in need, providing them loving homes and necessary medical care regardless of age or condition, while educating the public about animal cruelty. Every dog adopted from the rescue is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and given a heartworm test, fecal test, and full vet exam before going to its new home.
