Humane Society of Huron Valley in Ann Arbor, MI

The Humane Society of Huron Valley is a large humane society located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, about 5 miles west of downtown, at 3100 Cherry Hill Rd. It helps more dogs and cats than any other shelter in the state and operates a full-service adoption center, a vet clinic, and the Tiny Lions Cat Café, along with programs for lost and found pets, community and feral cats, and behavior support. Its mission is to support the loving, responsible care of all animals in the community, and it welcomes walk-in adopters with no appointment necessary. The shelter is open Monday through Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Thursday and Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Adopters must be at least 18 and are welcome to visit walk-in (no appointment needed); you complete an adoption survey, meet with the pet(s) you're interested in, and if it's a match, complete adoption paperwork and pay the adoption fee, with adoptions handled first come, first served.
