Its mission is to protect and nurture companion animals and enrich the lives of the people who love them, and it operates as the first and only humane society serving Council Bluffs and Pottawattamie County. The shelter finds homes for dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small critters, and also runs a Working Cat Program, foster care, lost-and-found services, a pet pantry, and a low-cost microchip clinic. It's open Monday through Friday from 12:00 to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
