Pet Pal Animal Shelter is a no-kill, nonprofit animal shelter located at 405 22nd St. S. in St. Petersburg, Florida, about 20 miles northeast of Tampa. Its mission is to rescue dogs and cats from shelters where they might otherwise be euthanized due to time limitations, illness, injuries, or lack of socialization and training, while educating the public about pet overpopulation, the importance of spaying/neutering, and responsible pet ownership. The shelter offers adoptable dogs, cats, and other animals, and welcomes visitors Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Beyond adoptions, Pet Pal supports its work through a thrift store, an affiliated clinic, and community fundraising events.
