Applicants submit a pre-adoption application (separate forms for in-state vs. out-of-state adopters), then go through preparing-to-adopt considerations, pay applicable adoption fees based on age/number of animals, select a pet, and bring the new pet home; adoptions are not available outside the continental US and Canada.
