The Humane Society of Boulder Valley Animal Services is a humane society located in Boulder, Colorado, roughly 15 miles southeast of Thornton, CO. It is open Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Each year more than 2,000 stray pets arrive at the shelter, and because their vaccination status is unknown, all incoming dogs are vaccinated for DHPP and Bordetella and all cats for FVRCP to protect the animal population and curb the spread of disease while they await reunification with their guardians. The organization also serves as the impound facility used by Boulder County Animal Protection for lost pets, and its mission centers on creating healthy relationships between pets and people.
