A New Leash on Life Adoption Center is a non-profit animal shelter located in Madison, Alabama, about 7 miles east of Huntsville. Operating since 2004, the organization rescues and cares for dogs and cats, working toward a no-kill future for Alabama through rescue, spay/neuter efforts, adoption, and advocacy for homeless pets. Its work is supported in part by community thrift boutiques, with proceeds funding medical care, shelter, and daily support for animals in its program. The center welcomes visitors Wednesday 11:00 AM–6:00 PM, Thursday through Saturday 11:00 AM–4:00 PM, and Sunday 1:00–4:00 PM.
