Distinguished Dobermans Rescue in Clinton, PA
Distinguished Dobermans Rescue, Inc. (DDR) was established in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, in 2006. Over the years, DDR has expanded its reach to cover the entire northeastern United States. The organization was founded with the mission of assisting Dobermans in need and has since broadened its efforts to include Miniature Pinschers and other breeds with which we have experience. As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization incorporated in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, DDR operates exclusively with the support of volunteers. We rely on donations, fundraising efforts, and the dedication of our volunteers to fulfill our mission. The funds we receive are allocated to cover the costs associated with rescuing and rehoming dogs. Each rescued dog incurs various expenses, including shelter fees, veterinary care, medications, and necessary equipment. DDR rescues Dobermans and Miniature Pinschers from both shelters and private owners. Many of the dogs that come into our care may be in poor health or have suffered from neglect or abuse. Each dog undergoes a veterinary examination, receives necessary vaccinations and medications, is microchipped, and is tested for heartworm (with treatment provided if the dog tests positive). Additionally, all known health issues are addressed prior to adoption, and dogs are spayed or neutered. Our organization is entirely staffed by unpaid volunteers who dedicate their time and energy out of love for these remarkable breeds. Our volunteers balance their commitment to rescue with their personal lives, which include families, jobs, and their own pets. Our greatest reward comes from knowing we have positively impacted the lives of the dogs in our care. To ensure suitable placements, we implement a screening process for potential adopters. Each applicant must complete an adoption application, agree to a home visit, and sign an adoption contract. An adoption fee is also required to help offset the costs incurred while the dog is in our care. Furthermore, our volunteers maintain ongoing communication with adoptive families throughout the dog's life, providing support as needed. Distinguished Dobermans Rescue, Inc. is dedicated to assisting Dobermans, Miniature Pinschers, and other breeds in need. Since our inception, we have consistently sought to provide help where it is most needed.
