Lucky Dawg Animal Rescue is a no-kill, foster-based organization operated entirely by volunteers. We are committed to rescuing homeless, abused, or unwanted animals from our local communities and, when necessary, from surrounding areas. In addition to our rescue efforts, we focus on educating the public about animal welfare. We carefully place animals in responsible, loving homes, ensuring a good match between the animal and the adopter. Our commitment to the welfare of each animal continues even after the adoption process is complete. Lucky Dawg Animal Rescue is a registered charitable organization under section 501(c)(3).

Adoption process

The fee for dog adoption is $300, which covers spaying or neutering (if the pet's age and health permit), microchipping, and vaccinations. Approval of the adoption application is required, including checks on personal references, veterinary references, and confirmation that current pets are up to date on vaccinations and spayed or neutered. A home check is also necessary. If the dog is not spayed or neutered at the time of adoption, a spay/neuter agreement must be signed, specifying a date by which the procedure will be completed. A reimbursement of $50 will be provided after the surgery is completed. The fee for cat adoption is $110, which includes spaying or neutering (if the pet's age and health permit) and vaccinations. Approval of the adoption application involves personal and veterinary reference checks. If the cat is not spayed or neutered prior to adoption due to age or health, a spay/neuter agreement will be required.
