Adoption Process

Potential adopters are required to complete an adoption application. Following approval, which includes checking veterinary references and conducting a home visit, the applicant will meet the pet. If the meeting goes well, an adoption contract will be signed, and an adoption fee will be collected, which varies depending on the animal. All dogs and cats are neutered and vaccinated prior to adoption. The adopter must agree to return the pet to CompAnimals if, for any reason, the adoption does not work out during the pet's lifetime.

Cecil County in Maryland, Chester County in Pennsylvania, and New Castle County in Delaware.

CompAnimals Pet Rescue Inc in Landenberg, PA

CompAnimals Pet Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to rescuing unwanted, abandoned, or abused dogs, cats, and other small pets. Our mission is to find loving, permanent homes for as many animals as possible while providing a sanctuary for those who cannot be adopted due to age, health issues, or temperament. All of our dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and receive necessary medical treatment before being made available for adoption. Through our volunteers and outreach programs, we educate the next generation on the importance of spaying and neutering pets and the commitment required for lifelong pet ownership. Our goal is to eliminate the need for our services, but until that day comes, we will continue to rescue animals, regardless of breed, age, or medical condition.
