Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with the submission of an online application, followed by veterinary and personal reference checks. If these checks are satisfactory, a meet and greet is arranged with the potential adopter. Assuming everything goes well, a home visit will be conducted, and a trial adoption period of seven days will be provided for both the dog and the family to determine if it is a good match. The adoption fee for a puppy is $300, which includes all three rounds of puppy vaccinations, spay/neuter, a microchip, rabies vaccination, and three months of heartworm preventative. For adult dogs over two years old, the adoption fee is $250, covering all vaccinations, rabies vaccination, microchip, spay/neuter, and three months of heartworm preventative.

Advocates 4 Animals Pet Food Pantry in Hillsboro, MO

Our organization operates a pet food pantry that helps community members provide food for their pets, thereby preventing abandonment or the need to give them up due to financial difficulties. We also take in pregnant animals and their young that have been abandoned, caring for them from birth until they can be adopted. My motivation for this work is to give back to those in need within the community. I foster animals because I enjoy seeing mothers and their puppies grow up healthy and happy.
