Adoption Process

The first step in the adoption process is to complete an adoption application. The fees associated with adoption are set on a per dog basis to cover veterinary expenses.

Service Areas

We serve the following areas: Granby, Diamond, Joplin, Monett, Carthage, Neosho, Rich Hill, and Nevada in Missouri; Bella Vista and Bentonville in Arkansas; and Newton County and Jasper County in Missouri. Our services also extend to the broader regions of Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri across the United States.

4 Paws of the 4 States is a non-profit organization based in Missouri, dedicated to helping homeless animals find loving homes. We have been inspected and approved as an animal care facility by the Department of Agriculture. Our mission includes ensuring that all adopted pets are spayed or neutered to combat animal overpopulation and advocating against animal mistreatment. Our pets are housed in foster homes where they receive the necessary training and attention to prepare them for their forever homes. We are continually seeking foster homes for our animals. If you would like to meet one of them, please reach out via email or phone. Each adoption allows us to rescue another animal in need and provide them with training and medical care. Mary, the founder of 4 Paws of the 4 States, has a background in veterinary technology and has been involved with rescue organizations since 2007. We always welcome donations to support our mission.
