Adoption Process

In most instances, your new pet can be taken home the following day. However, pets that have already been spayed or neutered prior to arriving at the shelter may be eligible to go home the same day. Adoption Fee Our adoption fees vary based on the adoptability of each pet. The minimum adoption fee is $50.00 for pets that have been at the shelter for an extended period and are at risk of being euthanized. This fee includes vaccinations as well as spay or neuter services. Spay/Neuter Surgery All dogs and cats aged eight weeks or older that are adopted from Halfway Home Pet Adoptions will undergo surgical sterilization before being placed in their new homes. We have licensed veterinarians on-site to carry out the procedure.
