Adoption Process

The adoption fee is $85 for an individual altered rabbit and $125 for an altered bonded pair. Adopters are required to sign a contract, which stipulates that they must return the rabbit to us if they are ever unable to care for it. We ask that prospective adopters attend a one-hour orientation during their first visit to our shelter. After attending the orientation, they should return to pick up their selected rabbit once they have prepared a suitable living space and gathered the necessary supplies.

Service Areas

We primarily serve the majority of Missouri and western Illinois.

House Rabbit Society of Missouri in Chesterfield, MO

Our chapter is dedicated to rescuing abandoned domestic rabbits. We provide necessary medical treatment, spay or neuter them, and care for them in our shelter located in Fenton, Missouri, until they find loving homes. We seek to connect these rabbits with individuals who appreciate their joyful personalities and entertaining behaviors as indoor companions.
