Adoption Process

The adoption process includes submitting an application for adoption, followed by an interview and adoption advisory session. Potential adopters will then have the opportunity for a meet and greet with the pet. An optional adoption trial may be conducted. Finally, if the adoption proceeds, an adoption contract will be signed, and there is an adoption fee of $100.

Adoptable Cats Houston in Houston, TX

I am a dedicated cat lover who has made significant efforts to enhance the lives of the cats I encounter. Recently, I established a Doing Business As (DBA) to streamline the adoption process for my current foster cats. For approximately eight years, I have conducted Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) in the Spring Branch area (zip code 77080), primarily funding the initiative myself or with the assistance of local charities such as CAP and Best Friends. It was disheartening to return the cats after TNR, knowing they might struggle to find food. As a result, I took on the role of colony manager for a group of 45 stray cats in the same area, overseeing their feeding and TNR for about seven years. Many of the cats I care for are young and sociable, so I collaborate with local rescue groups to facilitate their adoption when space permits. Through these partnerships, I have successfully found homes for around 60 friendly cats and kittens. I have provided foster care for these animals and often covered veterinary costs to enroll them in the adoption programs of organizations such as HOPE Rescue, Save A Purrfect Cat Rescue, and Houston Cares Animal Rescue. Having gained extensive knowledge about rescue, fostering, and the adoption process over the past six years, I am now ready to serve the community independently. I discovered your Adoption Portal functionality while volunteering with HOPE Rescue. I am impressed by the ability to post pets for adoption across multiple platforms, which is an excellent marketing opportunity.
