Adoption Process

Our adoption process begins with individuals completing an application on our website. We review the application for eligibility and, if the applicant appears to be a suitable candidate, we contact their veterinarian to verify the information provided. Following this, we arrange a meet and greet, conduct a home visit, and finalize the adoption with a contract. Our adoption fees are structured as follows: $400 for unaltered puppies adopted under a spay/neuter contract, $350 for altered puppies, $300 for adult dogs, and $200 for senior dogs.

The organization serves the following areas: Harlingen, Texas; San Antonio, Texas; Benbrook, Texas; McCordsville, Indiana; and Battle Creek, Michigan.

Ana's Safe Haven Rescue in Harlingen, TX

Ana's Safe Haven offers a temporary refuge for neglected animals discovered on the streets, in shelters, and other locations in the Rio Grande Valley, where the number of dogs significantly surpasses the availability of caring homes. We operate as a foster-based rescue, with foster homes located in Texas, Michigan, and Indiana. The dogs in our care undergo comprehensive health evaluations, receive spaying or neutering as appropriate for their age, are tested for heartworm, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped.
