Adoption Process

The adoption fees are $200 for dogs and $95 for cats. These fees cover age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, heartworm testing and treatment if necessary for dogs, and leukemia testing for cats. If the pet has not been spayed or neutered prior to adoption, a signed contract to arrange for this procedure is required.

Our primary focus is Hunt County, although we are also available to serve surrounding areas.

Hunt County Pets Alive was originally established to support other rescues in the area. While this goal remains important, over the past year, HCPA has expanded its vision and developed into a fully operational foster-based rescue, caring for up to 100 animals at a time.
